I am a retired associate professor looking back to a career of 40 years in research, teaching and management as expert in past and modern climate.

Main achievements

• developing and teaching university courses incl. set up of the Earth Science master program at the VU in Amsterdam
• supervising students at all levels as mentor and teacher

•  European Geosciences Union,   president (2007-2009)
